Luna Blue: 'How Does It Feel'

If you are a regular viewer of this plucky little music blog then you will know how much of a fan we are of Brighton based band Luna Blue. The Seasiders have been working hard on new material since being in Lockdown and like all performers are gearing up for live shows to return soon. With poppy guitars and a feel good summery vibe Tom, Ryan, Seb and Nick have formulated an identity that we are all very much getting used to.

Following absolute BANGERS like ‘Away With You’, ‘Tropical’, and ‘Dance With Your Heart’ the boys give us their new single ‘HDIF ( How Does It Feel ). Released today, the track starts with Tom vocals, they are a good introduction that then builds to a funky chorus that makes you wanna dance like knowone is watching you. We asked lead guitarist Ryan about the origins and story behind the track and had this to say. “ Often words mean nothing, as they’re spoken in relation to how things feel at the moment. Words can be spoken passionately, angrily, joyfully to try and get a grip on the unknown future which lies ahead - and often that fails. Breathe, take in the moment, accept where your heart is at ... and just feel. I would say this is a very positive song to get a strong message across to people that are struggling within the current climate that the world is in, it is almost like Luna Blue are saying chill, relax and just feel the enjoyment of life. So kudos lads.

There is a great melodic feel to the track so much so the band even treat us to a cheeky guitar solo at the end which is a nice surprise. We knew Ryan could play, but we didn’t know he could shred like that. Is ‘How Does It Feel’ any different to previous tracks from the band? No. But the track does have a more commercial edge to it. Luna Blue have a sound that is sending them places and their popularity is going to rise further and further. Check out ‘How Does It Feel’ below and enjoy.
